This Request for Tenders (the “RFT”) is issued by the Corporation of the County of Peterborough (the “County”) for the provision of the Nichol’s Cove Bridge Replacement.

The following is a brief description of the work, but not limited to:

• Establish traffic control and detour to accommodate full road closure;
• Supply and install environmental / watercourse protection system.
• Supply and install dewatering system to allow construction to be completed in the dry.
• Remove existing single-span, single lane steel truss superstructure;
• Excavate and remove east reinforced concrete abutment and top portion of the west reinforced concrete abutment and install new concrete cap;
• Construct new concrete abutments and wingwalls;
• Design, fabricate, deliver, assemble, and install a new single-span, single-lane permanent ‘Bailey Style’ modular bridge with steel decking having an anti-skid surface including code compliant TL-2 barriers;
• Install new concrete approach slabs;
• Grade and pave road approaches; and
• Install new steel beam guiderail on approaches with appropriate end treatments.
